In this week's print edition, Observer contributor Eric Grubbs wrote about tonight's Viva Voce/Cut Off Your Hands/Robert Gomez triple-bill at Hailey's in Denton quite adoringly, particularly lavishing headliners Viva Voce with praise, and having this much to say:

Though they started off as a duo, don't think that Viva Voce is just another one of those bands that rock critics get all excited about because there's apparently all this sexual tension in not having a bass player.

Not even close: The husband-and-wife team that leads this four-piece trade off on vocals over ghost-like atmospherics in the form of concise rock songs.
Which is why we're pleased to say that the folks at Spune Productions have passed along two pairs of tickets to tonight's show for us to give out to a couple lucky DC9 readers today.

Could that be you? Sure, if you're one of the first two people to email me right now with the phrase "With Living Voice" in the subject line. In that case, you and a friend will be checking out this show free of charge. So, y'know, good luck and all that.

Update: Contest is over. Congrats to our winners.
