Over the next couple weeks, we'll be trotting out our 2011 music lists in print and on the blog, but I've been thinking a lot about guilty pleasures this year. Songs that get stuck in your head whether you like it or not. Foster the People's "Pumped Up Kicks" fell into that category, though it's really just a right turn from that godawful "Young Folks" song. Same melody, same soggy cracker. I won't even get into my conspiracy theory about that.

Now, Robyn's "Call Your Girlfriend" has all the components of a catchy song, but the video really seals the deal. The 1:30 mark, especially. And the fact that she's dressed like a Wet Seal exploded is even more intriguing. As far as "club hits" go, this is tops, and she's already inspired the cast of Saturday Night Live to recreate her video. She also inspired me to recreate her video, last night, at around 2 a.m., in my apartment. Thank god no one was filming, though.

I bow to you, Robyn. Check back for more guilty pleasures of 2011.
