It's seemed likely that the reunited "classic lineup" would be hitting the road this year, ever since it was announced that the band would be playing at Coachella, which takes place later this month in California. Last week Rose and co. confirmed that they'd be touring, and even released a list of cities — of which Dallas was one — but no indication of date or location.
Early this afternoon they provided those missing pieces, and frankly it's no surprise that GNR would be heading to JerryWorld. After decades of acrimony between Rose, Slash and McKagan, and the long-running McGuffin known as Chinese Democracy, the tour's name, Not in This Lifetime, is apt; fans have had a lot to put up with over the years. You know, the fans who made Appetite for Destruction the best-selling debut album ever and the 11th best-selling of all time in America. So yeah, JerryWorld seems doable.
Now here's hoping those three can make things stick until August 3. (Too soon?)
