Tickets are on sale Friday, January 25, at 10 a.m. A VIP package goes on sale this coming Tuesday, the 22. Prices and details have not yet been announced.
Earlier this week, the radio station teased this announcement with a video wherein local celebrities, media personalities and I read the list and were censored. Many observant commenters noted that Dirk Nowitzki's excitement/presence in the clip pretty much tipped the top of the bill. Basically, if you wind up with your view blocked by a giant blonde man, don't challenge him to a game of one-on-one. That fadeaway is unblockable.
Much of this lineup requires no introduction: Besides the banjo-wielding brothers Avett, there is the life-sized can of Surge that is Matt & Kim. Milo Greene (not a person's name, you'll note) earned many a stamp of approval with last year's self-titled debut, a breezy, assured pop effort that will probably sound awesome in a festival setting. Hayes Carll is one of the funniest storytellers working. And on. Should be a good time.
