Speaking of Norah Jones, the Dallas-raised critical darling, who just released an album compiling her favorite collaborations from over the course of her still-young career, has a new collaboration in the works...
Jones will be joining forces with the similarly collaboration-addicted
Danger Mouse, who, along with Italian film composer Daniele Luppi and
Jack White, are working on a new album called Rome, which is due
out March 2011. The disc, apparently, will serve as an homage to the
great spaghetti western film composer Ennio Morricone (The Good,The Bad, & The Ugly, A Few Dollars More, A Fistful of Dollars). Given the roots influences in both White and Jones' music, we're thinking this should make for a fairly inspired release.
All
we wonder now is if Clint Eastwood will join in to reprise his role for an appearance in one of the album's music videos. Here's hoping.
