As we mentioned a couple of weeks ago when Lucero and Telegraph Canyon were added to the bill, the lineup for the MusInk Tattoo & Music Festival April 9 through 11 looked like it would stick with the roots-, folk- and country-influenced rock favored in these parts.

But today's announcement that The Used will play in Dallas as well as at the NOFX-headlined Orange County Musink show in February will add a bit of punk-rock edge to the Big D stop. More bands will be announced in coming weeks, so perhaps the pearl-snap/hoodie ratio will further level out. It's probably worth pointing out that The Reverend Horton Heat played at last year's MusInk in Orange County, so it would certainly make sense for the band to appear in its hometown for the inaugural Dallas MusInk fest.

Also included in the announcement is the news of some of the other entertainment options taking place at the fest, including a Miss MusInk Pageant, live paintings and a "Legends Skate Jam" with Tony Alva, Christian Hosoi, Steve Olson, Mike V, Eric Dressen, Duane Peters and more.

And, of course--because it is a Tattoo & Music Festival, not the other way around, the press release includes an extensive list of participating tattoo artists and companies. Full text of the release is after the jump.
