It's been a charmed year for Grapevine native Post Malone. He's gone from an unknown kid posting his own recordings on Soundcloud to touring the world with Justin Bieber. Now Malone has hit another milestone, and The Biebs himself helped him celebrate.Malone turned 21 on Monday, sharing a birthday with the United States. On Sunday night, Bieber sprung a surprise during Malone's opening set at American Airlines Arena in Miami.
As video from the concert shows, a kilted and sunglasses-at-night-wearing Bieber appeared from the back of the stage while Malone was performing his breakthrough hit, "White Iverson." It's hard to make out much either of the singers say over the throng of tinnitus-inducing screams, but what's clear is that Bieber led the sold-out room of 19,000-plus people in a singalong of "Happy Birthday."
It's not the first time Bieber has made an appearance during one of Malone's sets — he's done it once before during The Purpose World Tour, which kicked off in March — but this one was a complete surprise for the birthday boy.
Conveniently enough, Malone had his actual birthday off the following day, so he did what any young celebrity would do on his 21st birthday: He flew straight to Las Vegas. Way to "Flex," buddy.
