Jubilee and her doll beat cancer from Children's Dallas on Vimeo.
I was looking for something entirely unrelated earlier this afternoon when I came across this video on Vimeo. It was posted today by Childen's Medical Center, which is debuting a new series of animated ads made by Jamie Caliri -- quite the coup, considering he's best known for his opening-titles work on Lemony Snicket's A Series of Unfortunate Events and United States of Tara. This one tells the story of a girl named Jubilee, diagnosed with a very aggressive form of neuroblastoma and treated at Children's. A beautiful short. After the jump, you'll find two very early looks at fall network series set to film in Dallas come summer: FOX's Lonestar, which we mentioned this morning and which comes with five teaser clips, and NBC's Chase, produced by Jerry Bruckheimer. If nothing else, the former answers the question, "Whatever happened to David Keith?" But the latter raises all kinda question marks, chief among them: Is this thing set in Houston or Dallas? Because from the looks of the gives-everything-away pilot promo, it sure smells like Houston 'round this piece. I've asked a buddy, who shot second unit when they were here in March.
