Incoming DISD superintendent Mike Miles might have been getting the impression that Dallas wasn't as friendly as billed, what with all the pointed questions about administrators' pay scale.
So, to prove we really do love him, the Dallas Regional Chamber is unrolling a billboard campaign timed to coincide with the official start of his tenure next week. The graphic you see above will be displayed on various electronic billboards throughout July to welcome miles "and to demonstrate the Chamber's support for his 'Destination 2020' plan."
I'm a bit disappointed that the design doesn't include Miles' noggin, but the design and space were donated by Clear Channel Outdoor, so beggars can't be choosers, I suppose.
If you want to go seek them out, rather than stumble upon them accidentally, they will be at the following locations in the first week:
I-35 Stemmons Frwy, .3 mi north of Continental Ave., on the west side west side facing south I-30 Tom Landry Hwy .16 miles east of Westmoreland, south side facing east I-45 .4 miles south of East R.
