Five games. Three time zones. Two training camps.
Your Dallas Cowboys are certainly expanding their brand as America's Team. But is such nomadic pre-season good for them?
The Cowboys will travel almost 5,000 miles this summer, compared to only 852 for the New York Giants. I think jet lag is one of those man-made syndromes allowing us the freedom to be even lazier, but to say the least it will be a dis-jointed pre-season for Dallas.
A schedule that will start Aug. 8 in Canton, Ohio will travel through Arlington, San Diego and Houston. In between, the Cowboys will switch training camp hubs from San Antonio to Oxnard, California.
Then again, they had a football-intensive camp only in San Antonio last summer and stumbled to a 2-2 start, so who knows?
