Which is especially heartbreaking for Schutze, as this year's calendar features the winning entries from the Trinity River Photo Contest. Fret not: You can snag the calendar here (ooooh, there's a council briefing on October 13 -- which is also International Day for Natural Disaster Reduction!).

And the 18-page year-in-review is right here. Makes for an interesting recap, and it's full of intriguing nuggets. As in: "Economists, business publications and other experts predict that Dallas is among a few cities poised for a swift recovery; probably within two years." And: "Over the next five years, nearly 39.5 percent of the City's workforce will be eligible to retire."
