There's a small but interesting item of note on the Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport Facility Improvement Corporation Board's meeting agenda today -- and, right, whatever that is. Seems American Airlines is looking to unload one of its flight simulators. It's not for one of the big planes, though. Old Friend Tim Wagner sets us straight: "It's an American Eagle simulator for the Saab turboprops -- which we don't fly anymore. The simulator was funded by airport bonds, so it is owned by the airport. We have arranged the sale, but it has to be approved by the airport, and they get the proceeds, obviously."

Tim can't say for how much the simulator will sell or to whom it'll go (odds are, an airline that still flies those planes or a flight school). But it's too bad AA didn't at least consider trying to offload the ultimate video game in the Neiman Marcus Christmas Book, right between the Texas Stadium end zone and the people made of LEGOs. --Robert Wilonsky
