Carried Away Teaser - Dallas IFF from New Palace Films on Vimeo.
In March, Patrick Michels visited the set of Tom Huckabee's Carried Away, then shooting in Oak Cliff and in the filmmaker's native Fort Worth. But a few weeks ago, the film -- about a Hollywood hopeful who comes back to Texas and finds his family in shambles -- took the Narrative Film prize at the Oxford Film Festival, where my old friend (and former Star-Telegram film critic) Elvis Mitchell was among the judges. Local audiences will finally get to see Carried Away when it makes its Dallas International Film Festival bow in April. Here's the brand-new trailer, made just for the fest.
