No doubt, by now you've heard all about the poor folks who spent all Saturday night at Lone Star Auto Service trying to retrieve their cars, which had been towed from lots near Fair Park. Everybody's looking into how that happened: the towing company, Texas Attorney General Greg Abbott and, of course, Mayor Tom Leppert. Here's the missive the mayor sent to the city council last night, in which he's demanding City Manager Mary Suhm and City Attorney Tom Perkins "fully investigate these claims" before the city takes the necessary action against "renegade towing companies," which was the name of my junior-high band. --Robert Wilonsky
