Not exactly a threatening title for a video game ...

MumboJumbo, the Dallas-based maker of "premium casual games," last month announced it had gotten the go-head to turn NBC's comedy The Office into a video game. Today the company has a little more news it'd like to share: It has bought out, get this, a Russian-based, Midlothian-located game-maker called Hot Lava, which touts on its Web site such downloadable titles as Reaxxion, 7 Wonders and Haiku Journey, the latter of which is billed as "part logical mindbender and part relaxation therapy!"

Interesting side note from the press release: "According to the Casual Games Association, 30% of the Top 10 games in 2006 were developed in Eastern Europe." Much like my grandfather. --Robert Wilonsky
