Over the weekend, 28-year-old James Ramirez was leaving Thrive at 2:30 a.m. on Sunday when he got into an argument with another Hispanic man in the night club's parking garage. The argument over, Ramirez and a friend left the garage.
When they stopped at a red light at the intersection at Lamar and Pacific, a black Infiniti SUV carrying two Hispanic men, including the one with whom Ramirez had been arguing, pulled alongside. They shot and killed Ramirez when he stepped out of the car.
Police released the above surveillance video, which shows Ramirez step out of a gold Dodge Caravan and take off his shirt. The Caravan pulls forward through the gate and stops, while the suspect vehicle, which was immediately behind, pulls past and out of the garage.
