Original post:Early this morning, just after the bars closed, Elia Beltran, 20, and a friend were walking from Club Rio along S. Walton Walker Boulevard. They were nearing Beltran's SUV, a dark green Ford Explorer when a 20-something Hispanic man approached carrying a pistol.
The man forced Beltran and her friend into the Explorer and drove the around for an hour, demanding money. At 3:15 a.., he stopped in the 1300 block of Pacific Avenue, forced the friend to get out, and drove off with Beltran still in the vehicle. She hasn't been seen since.
Police are seeking information on the kidnapping. Beltran is 5'2" and 100 pounds with long black hair. She was last seen wearing a blue blouse and gray skirt. Her kidnapper is 5'5", 140 pounds and wearing a red T-shirt and jeans with brown work boots. The Explorer has Texas plates, No. FNT 089.
