We were perusing the Arcade Fire's North American tour dates -- no Dallas gig yet, at least through June 2 -- and noticed something interesting: Dallas' own Annie Clark, better known as Unfair Park fave St. Vincent, is opening for the indie kids' favorite Neon Bible-thumpers at two spots along the journey, twice in Montreal and later in British Columbia. This comes after Clark and John Vanderslice's May 5 gig at Dan's Silverleaf in Denton, incidentally; don't wanna miss that one, if only so you can say you saw her when.

If you still haven't heard much of Clark, check out her MySpace page, which features four St. Vincent tracks -- among them, the title track to her Beggars Banquet bow, Marry Me, which is due July 10.

And in other cool-kids indie-rock news, Pitchfork yesterday noted how lucky we Texans are for getting Bill Callahan's only U.S. dates before he heads overseas next week. Yup, the artist alternately known as Smog will be here tomorrow night at the Sons of Hermann Hall, where you can also pick up supah-special early copies of Callahan's new CD Woke on a Whaleheart, before telling all your friends how cool you are. Check out the track "Sycamore" from the album here. --Robert Wilonsky
