A few months back the National Hockey League announced it was partnering with Stan Lee -- the man who helped birth, oh, I dunno, Spider-Man and the Fantastic Four and the Incredible Hulk and a few other make-mine-Marvel-ous comic-book heroes -- on something called The Guardian Project. Long story short: Lee would oversee the creation of a super hero for each NHL team, and the whole gang would bang in a cartoon that'll air during the All-Star Game at month's end.

Well, thanks to the copious amount of missives presently filling the Unfair Park in-box (one, subject-headed "Here, nerd"), I've discovered that about three days back Stan the Man introduced The Dallas Star -- that's him in the video you see at top. An illustration and bio follows. I'm with those fanboys who think Star looks a little ... familiar, let's say.
