Eisley -- named 2003's Best New Act in the Dallas Observer Music Awards, for those of you with short attention spans -- has returned from Narnia, or wherever it is the band summer vacations, for a new disc. Shruggingly titled Combinations, it's out August 14 -- but the first single, "Invasion," is available for purchase today on iTunes.

But if you're too cheap, you can stream the song -- and two more tracks, "Many Funerals" and "A Sight to Behold" -- on the band's MySpace page. And, of course, you can check out the former Mos Eisley Thursday night, when they share a bill with The Fray and Gomez. Odd thing: The Eisley site says the show's at the Nokia Theatre at Grand Prairie, while Gomez's site lists it at the Smirnoff Music Centre. If you must know, it's at the Smirnoff. --Robert Wilonsky
