The Liverpool Echo this morning directs our attention to the Web site of the Spirit of Shankly, the Liverpool FC supporters' union that has made it its mission to rid the Reds of owner Tom Hicks. As you can see here, SoS has gotten into the billboard business, erecting five out of a planned 10 signs directed at Hicks and George Gillett, who bought the football club three years ago in February and now find themselves saddled with so much debt they need investors to help pay down the bill. Says SoS of the signs, "That future now looks dark and bleak under Hicks and Gillett, and we as fans need to change that."
