The council's Transportation and Environment Committee is meeting at this very moment; tune in if you have absolutely, positively nothing better to do. That said: After our chat this morning, TxDOT spokesperson Cynthia Northrop White said that when she got back to the office, she'd pass along a better look at downtown's "mobility needs," specifically S.M. Wright, the Project Pegasus pullouts and the Trinity Parkway. Sure enough, it just arrived.

As usual, it's after the jump and worth a look-see, if only because the newish doc breaks down what's needed and, more important, how much each step's expected to cost per the most recent guesstimations. As in: Taking the Dead Man's Curve out of S.M. Wright will run around $42 million, a fraction of what it'll run for the IH-45 widening and the 45-to-C.F. Hawn link, each of which will run upwards of $85 million.
