Back in 2005, Keven McAlester wrote one hell of a fine story for the paper version of Unfair Park about former Texas Rangers pitcher Dock Ellis's immortal acid-drenched no-hitter, done, of course, while he was a Pittsburgh Pirate. Piece wasn't just about the feat, of course; if memory serves, it was the end result of a documentary Keven had considered making about the now-late-n-great baller before he turned his attention to damaged rock icons on the mend and live-action gamers. All of which is a rather lengthy wind-up by way of introducing this animated take on the no-hitter, itself a wigged-out work of art.
