Leading up to September's Best of Dallas® 2016 issue, we're sharing (in no particular order) our 100 Favorite Dishes, the Dallas entrées, appetizers and desserts that really stuck with us this year.

Tucked into a corner of NorthPark mall, the Theodore offers many quirky surprises, not the least of which is turning lobster into "mall food." Impossible as it may sound to pull off, you'd be hard-pressed to find a more delicious, celebratory meal in Dallas.

Sweet, succulent and juicy, the broiled lobster tail is served in a splash of brothy coconut butter that offers another revelation: curry and cilantro. Dotted with tender crab-boil potatoes, this dish is a shining example of an American classic reinterpreted. Savor this on your next special occasion — or invent a reason if you must.
