Dallas continues to be slighted by culinary bigwigs. This time, Dallas has narrowly missed getting hit by a cream pie thrown by New York fine food arbiters - and that's not a good thing. Said pie landed smack dab in the middle of Paris Coffee Shop in Fort Worth, the venerable diner that was recently named one of Bon Appetit's top 10 places in the U.S. to get a slice of pie.

We're happy to see a Texas eatery on the best pie list. What we want to know is where to find great pie right here in Dallas. Would Bread Winners make the list? We think so. What about Kathleen's Sky Diner? Absolutely. Would you nominate Mama's Daughter's Diner, Original Market Diner and/or Norma's Café? Tell us where you go to get your key lime, lemon meringue or apple fix. (And, while we're talking apples, consider this smoldering, secondary question: Is cheese the ideal pie pairing?)
