Chop House, OcaTaco and More Openings and Closings in February

February was a busy month in the Dallas food scene. The highly anticipated Off-site Kitchen finally opened its doors, along with a handful of other eateries.

Openings: Whitehall Exchange (500 N. Bishop Ave.): This "bar and bites" spot is open for business in the Bishop Arts District.

OcaTaco (6333 Forest Park): The taco joint is the latest from Maple and Motor's Jack Perkins..

The Foundry (2303 Pittman): ​Chef Tim Byres, Chris Jeffers and Chris Zielke, co-owners of Smoke, have taken over the old Jack's Backyard spot, and transformed it into a beer garden called The Foundry.

Chop House Burger (1717 Main St.): The burger joint on Main Street is not to be confused with the one with an almost identical name in Arlington.

Better Burger (5715 Lemmon): ​Sam and Kathy Vergos, whose family also owns Original Market Diner, opened Better Burger.

Johnny's Pizza House (4145 Belt Line): The pizzeria is open in Addison.

Sissy's Southern Kitchen & Bar (2929 N. Henderson Ave.):Sissy's Southern Kitchen & Bar is the long-awaited restaurant from Lisa Garza.

Mason Bar (2701 Guillot): The restaurant and bar is open in Uptown.

Taco Stop (1900 Irving): This taco restaurant recently opened in the Design District.

Off-site Kitchen (2226 Irving): Off-Site Kitchen is the new breakfast-and-lunch spot from the Neighborhood Services group.

Bikini's Sports Bar & Grill (1350 E. Copeland): The breastaurant opened early last month.

Closings: Nana (2201 Stemmons): Nana, the restaurant in the Hilton Anatole, will close in June and reopen in September as a steakhouse.

Alligator Cafe (4416 Live Oak): The Cajun restaurant has moved to Casa Linda.

Matt's Rancho Martinez (6332 La Vista): Matt's closed on February 27 and is moving to 1904 Skillman Ave. this spring.

Fish City Grill (2323 N. Henderson): The Henderson Avenue seafood restaurant has closed its doors for good.

Macho Nacho (4000 Cedar Springs): The lights are out for good at the Cedar Springs nacho restaurant.

Coming Soon: Max's Wine Dive: The restaurant is planning to open this fall in the old Borders space on the corner of Lemmon and McKinney avenues.

Capriotti's Sandwich Shop: The sandwich shop is opening a location downtown.
