You can only find Bingbox in one of two places: their original New York City location and their newest outpost in Dallas' Trinity Groves. Do we feel that makes us special? Yeah, OK, a little bit. What's truly special about this Korean shaved ice joint, though, is texture — their mastery of incredibly light, wispy snowflake-like bingsu sets them apart.
The colorful, cheery space with glossy white with pops of aqua and neon invites a fittingly playful experience for their sweet treats. Go with preset combos such as the taro snow cream dressed up with Fruity Pebbles, vanilla wafers, condensed milk and a waffle cookie ($7), or build your own. Fun topping options include rainbow mochi, a variety of jellies and Pocky sticks.
Beneath the glow of their Instagram-worthy mural, you can indulge not only in snow cream, but also milkshakes, smoothies and soft-serve (starting at $5). Order one of their soft-serve flavors, such as the best-selling Thai tea/taro, and you have the perfect excuse to try an artisanal Konery waffle cone. Bingbox imports the Brooklyn-based, brightly colored cones in fanciful flavors like matcha and red velvet.
A visit here is the perfect ending to any night out at Trinity Groves. With fun flavors, a whimsical space and lots of options, Bingbox is doing its part to live up to its motto and "bing back the smile."
