The Sunset Lounge will host a Food Truck Smackdown this Friday, October 21, to benefit Ten for 10: Water for Africa, a nonprofit whose primary mission is providing safe, clean drinking water in Sub-Saharan Africa.

The group uses dinners and social events to raise both money and awareness for a cause that has helped approximately 17,000 people to date. The event kicks off at 7:30 with a number of food trucks and a silent auction. The Duo Domino Effect will perform.

Trucks involved in the competition include:

Gandolfo's NY Deli Dallas Nammi Truck Squeals on Wheels So-Cal Tacos Gennarino's Jackalope Mobile Vegan Kitchen Enticed Shaved Ice

The trucks will compete for favorite concept, favorite food and overall favorite winner . Tickets are expensive: For $75, you get food from every truck (portions will be smaller) and three drink tickets good for beer and/or wine.

Tickets are currently sold out but a limited number of slots -- about 50, according to the organizers -- will be available at the door.
