The safety minded-folks at the Texas Alcoholic Beverages Commission (otherwise known as the notorious TABC) require establishments to post this deterrent somewhere near the entry. Gives those packing unlicensed heat a chance to waive down the valet: "hey, could you throw this Thompson in the trunk?"
Unfortunately the designers of Fedora in One Arts Plaza failed to take the sign into account when finishing out the place, leaving restaurant management with the option of drilling holes through a new brick wall or banging nails into fancy woodwork. Or they could just...hey, why not hang it right in the window?
So TABCs welcoming message greets diners at the door. And presumably sends a few hungry scofflaws skulking back to their cars.
