On the opposite end of the Cinco celebratory spectrum is dinner at Fearing's Restaurant. The evening will be marked by a guest appearance by chef José Meza Arróyave, who devised a special three-course menu just for the occasion. The dinner will start with quesadillas (think less Taco Bell, more actual Mexican food) and mains include ceviche de pozole and carne asada, with arroz con leche for dessert. The cost is $150 per person.

Tromp on over to Four Corners Brewing Company for Trompo de Mayo. Tacos de trompo, courtesy of Oak Cliff Trompo, will be available for purchase. If spiced pork tacos aren’t your thing, just come for the FCBC beer and the tunes courtesy of Spinster Records.

Mother's Day is this Sunday, folks, which means you need to sober up from Cinco de Mayo in time to take Mom to TNT Tacos and Tequila so you both can get re-hammered at their brunch buffet. The buffet will feature a who's who of the brunch/fast casual Mexican food scene. There will be omeletes, Belgian waffles, eggs Benedict and huevos rancheros, not to mention tacos, pulled pork with homemade tortillas, brisket, grilled fish and salads. The $22 brunch includes Champagne and Mimosas.

If so, you may just be head a Taco Head. Be with your people at The Forth Worth Taco Festival. The fest will feature unlimited samples from 20 area restaurants and food trucks. Adult admission is $30 and kids ages 6-13 get in for $10.

There's nothing fishy about the three course Mother's Day brunch at Dallas Fish Market. Created by executive chef Richard Triptow, the à la carte menu features first course options like kuro kampachi and grilled clams. Second course offerings include trout meuniere and smoked salmon and eggs, while the dessert course includes orange creamsicle and panna cotta.

If your mom really is the #1 Mom in the World, treat her to brunch at the Mansion. Their Mother’s Day brunch is slated to be a lavish affair, with starters like Grand Marnier French toast, prime beef tartare and foie gras. Entrees include king salmon, beef tenderloin and Alaskan halibut. And of course, it wouldn’t be a Mother’s Day brunch without dessert: choose from peach macaron, chocolate composition, raspberry creme brûlée and more. The cost is $105 for adults and $45 for children 12 and under.

Because no matter where you run, you just end up at the movie theater. Sometimes, though, you end up at the Alamo with your mom, which is pretty cool. The Drafthouse in Richardson will hold a special Mother's Day screening of "Breakfast at Tiffany's", which will be accompanied by a themed, four course brunch with drink pairings. Brunch items include "Milk for Cat" (a cauliflower panna cotta) and Sally Tomato tomato salad. Tickets are $45.
