The new Oak at 1628 Oak Lawn in the Design District, which was previously only open for dinner, announced today that they are now open for lunch.

For starters the lunch menu includes hummus, foie gras and celery root and apple soup. For sandwiches they have a lamb bacon BLT, a burger with gruyere and a chicken baguette with cannellini hummus. Mains include ravioli, veal schnitzel, pappardelle and sirloin culotte with Brussels sprouts and spaetzle as a couple options for sides.

Try the Mighty Oak cocktail to go with: eagle rare bourbon, mint, ginger lemon and soda. Yum. That's a lunch for champions.

Oak just opened at the beginning of the year and the chatter so far has been good. Chef Jason Maddy is classically trained and previously worked at The Mansion and Danube in NYC.
