The Uptown location of Primo's Tex-Mex closed permanently Wednesday, according to manager Brandon Kundak. Kundak refused to comment on the reason for the closure, instead thanking his customers for their 20 years of loyalty. Owner Frank Linero was unavailable for comment, but his second Primo's location, which opened in Garland in 2007, is still open for business, according to Kundak.

News broke earlier this year in October that the Uptown Primo's was the subject of a federal lawsuit conducted by BMI. The music giant alleged the Tex-Mex restaurant committed copyright infringement on behalf of 11 different artists and publishers. Primo's has yet to submit a formal answer to the case, filing numerous extensions instead. Their next response is due January 22.
