If you've had the kids home this week during spring break, it's time to reward yourself with a little adult time, and by that we mean a few glasses of wine -- or more. You'll have all weekend to get your drink on at Savor Dallas, and here's a taste of what you'll get at the annual food and wine festival.
Friday Arts District Wine Stroll -- Kickoff the weekend by sampling wine from dozens of vineyards and food from The Grape and Whiskey Cake, among others. Participating winemakers include 14 Hands Winery, Cakebread Cellars and Matanzas Creek. Tastings will be held at The Dallas Museum of Art, Nasher Sculpture Center, Meyerson Symphony Center, and the Winspear Opera House. The event is from 5 to 7 p.m., and tickets are $35.
Ultimate Friday Night pARTy-- The event starts at 7:30 p.m. at Gables 17 features specialty cocktails from Patron Tequila and Ultimat Vodka. Unfortunately, it's sold out, so you'll have to bribe someone to score a ticket.

Saturday Cooking with Stephan Pyles -- Somehow there are still seats left at Pyles' namesake restaurant for this 11 a.m. seminar and lunch. Fifty lucky guests will sip wine while watching Pyles prepare lunch, then they'll get to eat all that food. Lucky bastards. Tickets are $125, so relish every bite of that meal.
Wine Tasting Seminars -- Paula Lambert, owner of Mozzarella Cheese Company, and Michael Flynn, the director of wine and beverage at The Mansion, will host the first seminar and give helpful hints for wine and cheese pairings. Guests will also sample some of Lambert's favorite cheeses and Flynn's favorite wines. The seminar will be held at The Mansion at 1:30 p.m., and tickets are $55, with the net proceeds benefiting the DFW Chapter of American Institute of Food and Wine.
The second seminar, at the Sheraton Hotel, features a panel of winemakers including Dr. Richard Becker of Becker Vineyards, David Hopkins of Bridlewood Estate Winery and Kim McPherson of McPherson Cellars, among others. This event is also sold out.
Reserve Tasting-- At 5 p.m., sample dozens of wine and a even a few spirits at the Remington Room at the Sheraton Hotel. Sheraton executive chef Michael Braun and his team will prepare food pairings, and tickets are $50.
International Grand Tasting -- The granddaddy of all Savor Dallas events begins at 7 p.m. with 60 of the city's best chefs preparing bites for the crowd. Four hundred wines, beer and spirits will be available for sampling, so you'll want to appoint a DD before you go. There's also a silent auction that benefits the North Texas Food Bank, so bid on that trip to Tuscany or a magnum of Champagne for a worthy cause. The tasting is from 7 to 10 p.m., and tickets are $100.
