Houston's Crawfish and Brews, which is expanding its boiling and beering min-fest to Dallas, gives Dallas the opportunity to experience a Houston crawfish boil without the traffic. Let's face it: When it comes to crawfish boils, Houston's got us beat by a mile, which isn't hard considering their proximity to Louisiana. For $25, you get two pounds of crawfish, three Community beers and one obligatory souvenir glass.

Bites and Flights will feature the tastes of popular West 7th restaurants. A $25 ticket provides access to small plate samples from the likes of Social House and FW Market + Table. An additional $12 ticket includes access to the wine tasting pagoda. Between the two tickets, you'll get the same sense of sample-based satiation that you would normally get from going to Costco on a Saturday afternoon, minus the hassle of wig changes.

The Texas Homebrew Society is holding their annual competition, Brew Riot, in the Bishop Arts District. More than 50 homebrewers will be on site, providing samples of their hard work for the public to enjoy. In order to attend you must be a member of the Texas Homebrew Society. The $25 membership fee includes entry to the festival and as many samples as you can responsibly enjoy. There will also be a 1.1 mile Beer Run, should you wish to channel your inner Usain Bolt.
