The 6th annual Dallas Observer BrewFest is fast approaching, and this year's fest is bigger than ever. With 135 breweries on the bill — each one serving four different brews — that leaves you with more than 500 different beers to choose from. Time to start putting together your must-drink list, because smart beer drinkers always plan ahead.

This year's fest, sponsored by Whole Foods Market, will take over the Dallas Farmers Market on Saturday, September 10. General admission tickets will get you 12, 2-ounce samples, which you can sip while catching live music and hitting up food vendors. VIP tickets will get you into the event one hour early and include liquor sampling and access to the VIP lounge, along with food catered by Laili, LUCK, Pollo Tropical and The Palm.

There are some new beer-faces this year, and  here are the breweries participating in BrewFest for the first time, two of which (Whistle Post and Wild Acre) are local:

(512) Brewing Co
Alesmith Brewing Co

Big Bend Brewing Co

Why hello, The Bruery. We'll be hopping in line for your experimental barrel-aged brews as soon as the gates open. If you want in on this sweet, hoppy action, you'll need tickets — and in a few days, ticket prices will go up.

For general admission tickets:
Early Bird Pricing: $35 (Now until 11:59 p.m. Sunday, August 7)
Advance Pricing: $45 (Midnight Monday, August 8 to 11:59 p.m. Friday, September 9)
Day-of Pricing: $55

For VIP tickets:

Snag tickets early to save money. If you need a ride home from the fest, Sofer'd, a service that will give you a ride while simultaneously driving your car home for you, is giving festival-goers a $25 credit on their first ride if they use the code BREWFEST.
