If you've been looking to try the creative-sounding new dessert that The Blue Goose rolled out the second week of August, today is the day. The Goose is offering free Sopapilla Sundaes today only as a Back to School celebration.

Take a gander at the Goose's Facebook page, where you can claim the deal (you'll need to present an email or print out at the restaurant). A fat kid's take on the traditional favorite, the sundae is served up in a frosty mug with enough cinnamon, sugar, chocolate syrup and ice cream to send the whole family into a totally free diabetic coma. Since you're there, might as well have something off the special Hatch chile menu. And Mondays are all-day happy hour anyway, so we're thinking this "Back to School" deal is more about you, the fearless moms and dads who suffered 100 degree All-Star games and broke up mini street fights all summer.
