Heads up, hopheads. The founders of Founders Brewing Co., Dave Engbers and Michael Stevens, will be at The Common Table around 5:30ish. There will be $15 flights of Founders that include Centennial IPA, Red's Rye PA, Dirty Bastard and KBS. From their FB page, "38 flights available starting at 6PM. KBS only available in the flights."

Untapped in Fort Worth is all you need to know about Saturday. Well, OK. Not all, but it's pretty important. With clear skies and highs in the 70s, this combo craft-beer and local music show in Cowtown should be amazing.
Prior to Untapped, join Fort Worth's newest brewery, Martin House, for A Brewer's Brunch from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. They'll start the day with hearty breakfast tacos, a brewery tour and, of course, pints of their very new brew, Day Break, 4-Grain Breakfast Beer.
In Dallas, there's the North Texas Taco Festival, a celebration of the area's taco diversity from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. in Deep Ellum at 2800 Main St., alongside the Deep Ellum Outdoor Market, which will have more than 40 vendors. More than 10 local taquerias will be out for the event, in addition to food trucks and refreshments from Deep Ellum Brewing Co.
Trinity Groves, the burgeoning area just west of the Margaret Hunt Hill Bridge, is hosting a Local Flavor Showcase featuring Four Corners Brewing Co. from 12:30 to 3:30 at the brewery. The event cost $10 and you'll get a souvenir glass, three beer samples, plus all the live local music your ears can absorb. BYOLawn chair and even kids, if you'd like.
The Ranch at Las Colinas will host a Remember the Alamo Dinner at 7:30 featuring a five-course dinner with foods "available to our state's first inhabitants," created by chef Grant Morgan. Dishes included grilled venison, mesquite smoked suckling pig, smoked duck breast, braised oxtail and wild berry cornbread buckle. There will also by a book signing by The History Chef, Andrew Caldwell. For reservations call 972.506.7262.

The 9th Annual Taste of the NFL at The Glass Cactus at the Gaylord Texas is this Sunday, and it benefits the North Texas Food Bank. There will be 15 gourmet food stations from some of Dallas' best chefs. Advance tickets are $150 per person, $250 per couple or $175 each at the door. You'll mingle with past and present Cowboys players and, more important, Dallas Cowboys cheerleaders. Go team!
