Whataburger is kinda sorta looking out for your health.

"Breakfast is the most important meal of the day, and we want to give it the attention it deserves," marketing director Rich Scheffler is quoted as saying in a release announcing free egg-and-meat sandwiches for everyone.

The Texas-based chain is giving away one Breakfast on a Bun per customer at all of its locations next Tuesday. The deal runs from 7 a.m.-10 a.m., and customers get their choice of bacon or sausage. Scheffler's urging folks to request their sandwiches "ranchero style," which is a fancy way of saying "add the free salsa and jalapenos, please."

But those toppings may be the only nutritionist-approved items on the toasted bun: According to Whataburger's own website, the egg-and-sausage sandwich version weighs in at around 550 calories and 36 grams of fat.

Might want to make it a Diet Coke with that bad boy.
