Just yesterday I wrote a post suggesting that the smaller, local farm vendors at the Dallas Farmers Market be moved to Klyde Warren Park. Now there's evidence that other models for farmers markets are flourishing in the Dallas area.

White Rock Local Market announced plans to expand to a second location, which will open first and third Saturdays of the month at Lakeside Baptist Church on Garland Road.

Now in its fifth year, White Rock Local Market was awarded Best Farmers Market in this year's Best of Dallas issue. The original market will continue to operate on the second and fourth Saturdays at The Green Spot on North Buckner Boulevard.

The first market of the season for the new location is Saturday, March 2, at Lakeside Baptist Church.
