The Big Tex Choice Awards Honor Fried Desserts

The sun was shining bright, the air was filled with the smell of deep fryers bubbling away - and the line was out of this world at this year's Big Tex Choice Awards. With a broad handful of places and dishes to choose from, this year's judges had a lot on their plate. Ultimately, the decision was made and three culinary creations were deemed top pick. Best Savory was given to Ruths Stuffed Fried Taco Cone—a rolled corn tortilla funnel filled with the classic taco elements. Most Creative was given to the Fla'Mango Tango—a mango filled pastry served with a ice cold mango and berry sorbet. Lastly the Best Sweet was given to arguably the most anticipated dish of 2019; the Big Red Chicken Bread - a fried chicken wing lovingly placed atop a big red flavored and glazed donut, garnished with a pair of sunglasses.
