As a countdown to the Dallas Observer's "Best of Dallas" 2010, City of Ate is serving up 100 of the favorite dishes we crave, savor and hope to scarf down again soon. These dishes are in no particular order. Some are little known, others celebrated. Some are pricey, others can be eaten on the cheap, but all are delicious to the extreme. Owned by chef Kenny Bowers, creator of Kenny's Wood Fired Grill, this casual eatery boasts everything big and always hits the spot. Big beef is the name of this game, snuggled bashfully in it's Frisco hide-a-way. Grab a huge burger, fresh-cut onion rings or even a single rib if you so desire. At City of Ate, however, we crave The Steak Bomb. This man-sized toasted hoagie roll is over-stuffed with shaved ribeye and decorated with grilled onions and white American cheese.
Besides the single rib, you can also order a single onion ring. We suppose you might consider a single onion ring when ordering The Steak Bomb, but we go instead for the full pile so we have plenty to share.
