Update, 11:50 a.m., December 7: A manager for the Joule Hotel confirms that CBD Provisions will open at 5 p.m., today.

Original post: By now you've likely heard news of the electrical fire that occurred last night in front of the Joule Hotel. If you haven't, check out our live blog: Winter Storm Cleon for video and other coverage that's been compared to the zombie apocalypse.

But while the fire is getting the most attention, the big restaurant news involves CBD Provisions, which occupies the ground floor of the hotel. The popular restaurant has been open since only October of this year and fire damage has forced the restaurant to temporarily close.

From their Facebook page:

Very little damage was done to the hotel, but as a result of proximity to the fire, the restaurant CBD Provisions incurred minor glass and smoke damage to its exterior; and the restaurant will be closed briefly for cleaning and repairs.

The Eats Blog reports that the restaurant will only be closed for a day or two. Hopefully we'll have great Cuban sandwiches and pig tails available soon.
