The Grape's latest iteration of their monthly wine dinner features special guest host Chelsey Rothe of Republic Beverage. We’re pretty sure the dinner, titled Come as You Are, doesn't have anything to do with Kurt Cobain. Unless, that is, the grunge rocker was a fan of Spanish wine, in which case this all makes perfect sense. Come As You Are will feature three courses accompanied by wine. The cost is $52 per person. Call 214-828-1981 for reservations.

Last year, Garland's Intrinsic Brewing won Deep Ellum Brewing Co.'s Labor of Love 2 home-brewing competition. It was Intrinsic's Basil Buzz, a basil and honey hefeweizen, that clenched the victory and the opportunity to brew Basil Buzz at DEBC. At long last, the batch is ready for its public unveiling. Come see if it really is the little home-brew that could this Saturday. DEBC will also have limited release beers on tap, and Pitmaster Tex will man the smoker from whence delicious pulled pork will emerge. What it be: Labor of Love Launch Party

It's that time of year again, folks. SausageFest, the annual celebration of meat bits stuffed into sub-mucosa, is back. Come to Main Street Garden this Saturday to eat copious amounts of sausage, which will be available for purchase, and to play a few sausage themed games. It should also be mentioned that Twiggy the Water Skiing Squirrel will be there, for what reason I do not know. Maybe instead of skis she'll careen across a body of water on breakfast sausages. Now that would be a true testament to Amurica.Tickets start at $15. What it be: 3rd Annual SausageFest
