Want to see some hot firemen and hot beauty queens while sampling some hot chili? Then head to the Sixth Annual Stop-Drop-n-Roll Chili Cook-Off in Grapevine benefiting the WPI Firefighters' Fund this Saturday, October 16. Last year's event raised over $110,000 for families of fallen and injured firefighters. This year's event will feature hundreds of cooks looking to take home prizes in categories such as People's Choice, Novice, and Junior, so even the kids can get in on the fun. Just make sure little Jimmy isn't left to tend that hot stockpot alone.

Ashley Smith, Miss Texas International 2010, and Natalie McLarty, Mrs. Texas International 2010, will be on hand to add a little glamour to the cook-off. There's also the Armadillo Egg Eating Contest, so if you're a pro at scarfing down fried stuffed jalapenos, start preparing your stomach and arteries now. The Stop-Drop-n-Roll Chili Cook-Off is from 10 a.m.- 5 p.m. at Bass Pro Shops, and admission is free. To sample the contestant's fiery creation, you'll have to purchase a chili sampling cup for $5. Remember, you're eating a Texas favorite and ogling hot firemen for a good cause. For more information, visit www.wpiff.org.

We're glad someone else shares our deep affection for chardonnays and cabernets.
