News came out from Culture Map that Jo Jo will be closing in two weeks. You may remember the Uptown restaurant from our series of blog posts that tracked its design, build-out and opening.
Jo Jo opened its doors in late November with an awesome, open dining room designed by Plan B. The menu was a mix of classic French bistro food and pizzas and sandwiches for lunch -- a little all over the place, but certainly accessible.
Leslie Brenner's Dallas Morning News review, published earlier this spring, couldn't have helped things. The story pointed out off flavors, bad execution and painfully slow service, awarding one star.

The restaurant has been purchased by Dee Lincoln, who co-founded Del Frisco's Double Eagle Steakhouse and opened Dee Lincoln's Bubble Bar, also in Uptown. Lincoln could not be reached for comment, which is a shame. I'm dying to find out what she's going to do with the JoJomobile.
