Victory Park Has a New Dessert Spot: Popbar, Serving Gelato on a Stick

Victory Park continues its overhaul with the addition of a new concept that's now open: Popbar, "famous for its handcrafted gelato, sorbetto and yogurt served in a new way — on a stick," according to a press release.

Located at 2420 Victory Park Lane, Popbar makes all its pops in-house daily, "producing small batches of 26 popbars at a time, live in-store, using natural ingredients," according to the release. "In addition to unique treats, like the newly launched gelatoShake, the menu includes over 40 rotating flavors, along with dippings and toppings, which allow for customizable flavor combinations. Popbar’s expansive menu also lets those looking for vegan, dairy-free, gluten-free and soy-free options find a frozen treat to enjoy."

Popbar currently has 19 stores in the U.S. and 11 internationally. The new sweets shop joins several other concepts that have opened in Victory Park in 2018: Imoto, a pan-Asian restaurant from Tracy and Kent Rathbun; Billy Can Can, Reebees' "modern Texas dining saloon" and novelty candy shop It'Sugar. Cinépolis Luxury Cinemas-Victory Park also opened this summer with an eight-screen, 750-seat theater.

There's more coming to Victory Park this year, too:

"... a flagship Mesero; wine bar Burgundy Swine; a restaurant by This & That Concepts (the team behind High Fives and The Standard Pour); a bar by Brooke Humphries (also known for Barcadia, Beauty Bar, and Pints & Quarts); Jinya Ramen Bar; new bakery concept Sift + Pour; Biagio Wine & Spirits; a 24,000-square-foot restaurant and entertainment concept in Victory Plaza by Humphries and Elias Pope’s 8020 Hospitality (the team behind HG Sply Co.); and a creative workspace with a day-focused café by Rebees."

Victory Park is also adding "85,000 square feet of new retail space, and making key enhancements to evolve into a more energetic, walkable and soulful urban neighborhood," according to the release.
