Flower Mound has a new restaurant opening today. The Table is the work of Bruce Wills, Ty Wellborn and chef Ray Skradzinski. The team worked together recently in that great restaurant up in the sky, Five Sixty.

The Table will serve a lunch and dinner menu of modern American cuisine with global influences in a refined yet rustic industrial setting, which sounds a lot like most new restaurants these days until you get a look at the gorgeous pierogis pictured above. Crispy, handmade potato dumplings filled with Texas cheddar are enough of a reason to drive to Flower Mound on their own.

Beyond what are hopefully pillowy potato dumplings, customers will have access to other handmade pastas including spaghettini and gnocchi, and flatbreads topped with house-made cheese and sausage and other ingredients from local sources like Latte Da Dairy. There's even a duck pot pie.

If you end up grabbing a table at The Table and feel a bit of déjà vu, you should know the designer responsible for your current surroundings is also responsible for FT33 and Ten Ramen. Hatsumi Kuzuu is known for the sleek, wabi sabi look that embraces patina.

The Table will be open daily from 11:30 a.m.-3 p.m. and 5 p.m.-10 p.m. We'll be right behind you on a double order of those pierogis.
