Winter is on its way out (fingers crossed), but Dallas is still serving up plenty of delicious seasonal spirits. I spent the past few weeks exploring some of Dallas' winter cocktails (you can view the full slideshow here). And while all the drinks are a foolproof way to escape Dallas' bitter cold front, these five might be most apt for heating things up between you and your babely Valentine.

Pictured above: Love Potion #6 at Oak: Reyka Vodka, Byrrh Grand Quinquina, Solerno Blood Orange Liqueur, Blood orange puree and strawberries.

Hokkaido Snow at Tanoshii: Baileys, cream, roasted coconut, Hakushu 12 year single malt whiskey.
Red Violin at Belly & Trumpet: Creme Yvette, lemon, simple syrup, Peychaud's, champagne and a lemon twist.
Chula-rita Swirl aka the "Lemongrass Margarita" at Pakpao: 100% blue agave tequila infused with lemongrass and orange peel, triple sec, homemade lemongrass sweet and sour syrup. Swirled with a prickly pear and orange liquor or topped it with a Cointreau Noir float.
Sweetheart at Bolsa: Remy V, Cointreau, Gran Classico, blood orange and sage.

Keep the Dallas Observer Free... Since we started the Dallas Observer, it has been defined as the free, independent voice of Dallas, and we would like to keep it that way. Offering our readers free access to incisive coverage of local news, food and culture. Producing stories on everything from political scandals to the hottest new bands, with gutsy reporting, stylish writing, and staffers who've won everything from the Society of Professional Journalists' Sigma Delta Chi feature-writing award to the Casey Medal for Meritorious Journalism. But with local journalism's existence under siege and advertising revenue setbacks having a larger impact, it is important now more than ever for us to rally support behind funding our local journalism. You can help by participating in our "I Support" membership program, allowing us to keep covering Dallas with no paywalls.
