Chad Montgomery, the organizer of the Big Texas Beer Fest, says tickets to this year's event are now on sale. Brewers from Austin, Houston and other parts of the state will be on hand this go around, in addition to the Dallas-based brewers who participated last year.
Ten local food trucks, Scardello, Noble Coyote and Armadillo Ale Works will be at the event providing food and samples of their products while The O's, The Hanna Barbarians and Fish Fry Bingo will keep the space filled with music.
Tickets for the festival can be purchased at the event's website for $35. A VIP option, meanwhile, runs nearly twice the cost of a general admission ticket, and is already nearly sold out.
The festival will be held 2 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. with parking available at Fair Park for $10 -- not that you planned on driving, what with all those delicious beers available for swilling. Just look at that pouor guy laid out in the picture above. DART has a rail station on the Green Line at Fair Park, just steps away from the venue. Use it.
