Support the independent voice of Dallas and help keep the future of Dallas Observer free.
Smashburger announced the opening of the fifth Dallas area location of their popular burger chain based in Colorado. The new restaurant is opening in Mockingbird Station later this fall.
If the Smash is not your thing, a number of other restaurants are opening in the shopping center that flanks the Angelika. Herrera's and the Mockingbird Taproom are also listed as opening soon.
We wrote about Smashburger's cooking process at the beginning of this year and lamented the dried-out and overcooked patties that result. Like most fast food chains, Smashburger cooks all its patties to 155 degrees, or well-done
The new location is set to open in late November.
